We're pleased to announce that our new HTML5 recorder is now available across numerous devices and browsers.
The new recorder will make it easier for you to record pronunciations in your languages. Many of you will already be aware that Flash technology is slowly being phased out and this is a major factor behind our decision to make the HTML5 recorder available.
You will however still be able to switch to the Flash recorder if you wish to do so, or if you find that for whatever reason you're unable to record in HTML5. You'll find the button to switch between the two below the recorder. We've also added a feature on the recorder which allows you to see the volume you are recording at. It will check the volume for you and let you know if you're recording too loudly or too quietly.
Despite HTML5 now being accepted in a variety of different web browsers, there are still some browsers and devices that won't recognise it. Remember that those of you who have access to our mobile apps you will still be able to record as usual within the apps.
